Let me walk you through tools that help me make my life easier and churn content even when I’m sleeping, and tools I no longer use.
1/ AuthenticIN (for LinkedIn growth)
Listen, I always schedule my content.
Why would I willingly open a platform and get lost in the noise when I can do deep work and schedule my content for the week ahead? Most of your favourite LinkedIn creators have their content planned and scheduled too.
A scheduler saves time and focus, which is essential for high-quality content.
If you’re looking to grow on LinkedIn and want a tool that has a
- Viral content library
- Templates with examples
- AI writer to brainstorm ideas + write your posts
- Scheduler to save your time and focus!
- Content of your fav creators in one place
Then AuthenticIN is for you.
I have used various software to schedule my LinkedIn stuff.
Taplio is too expensive, Hypefury is better for X, and Supergrow and Easygen don’t cut it.
So I built AuthenticIN, and within days of launch, we’ve only got positive feedback. Yay!
It’s free to try, check it out here.
I tried not using ConvertKit (now known as Kit) for a long time because it was expensive. Until I realised, there must be a reason why the best creators in the world use it for their newsletter.
So I use this for my weekly newsletter and email marketing.
It’s also free for up to 10,000 subscribers now, which is something that didn’t exist when I joined.
Use Kit for
- running your newsletter
- uploading your lead magnet and building an email list
- email marketing
- powerful automations
There’s also a Creator Network, which makes it easier to grow.
So you and your friends can recommend each other, and if someone signs up for one of your newsletters, with one click, they can sign up for all.
Since this is also free for up to 10,000 subs, sign up here.
3. Gumroad
If you know absolutely nothing about where to create and upload digital products and are overwhelmed thinking of
“How will I design my website?”
“Do I need to really pay $$$$ a year to these companies?”
“How can I easily share a product, emails, and build affiliates”
“I want one place for my digital products, services, and consultation calls!”
Your answer is Gumroad. It’s a marketplace for products, and creating your page is as easy as using an iPhone.
It took me 90 minutes to build and ship my free Side Hustler Checklist.
You can also collect emails and do basic email marketing and a newsletter.
They take 10% fee for all sales which honestly isn’t bad at all considering I paid over $2000 to Kajabi which totally sucked (more on this towards the end).
You can view my Gumroad store here.
I’ve been using this to schedule my tweets for maybe 3 years now.
Every Monday, I sit and write 15 tweets for the week ahead.
This way, I don’t scroll on Twitter and get distracted.
Ugh, I just refuse to call Twitter X! Haha
5. Canva
Canva is powerful enough in its free version, but if you had to pay for any one software to help you create
- presentations
- beautiful creatives
- mockups
- ebooks (yes, I made mine on Canva)
- personal stuff like party invites
Then, Canva is a no-brainer.
6. Slack
I use the free version.
I earlier conducted 12 cohorts of my cohort-based course, Summit 21, on Slack. And now conduct my LinkedIn group coaching program, Authentic Influence, there too.
I feel you don’t need to be fancy when you conduct cohorts. You need to be useful.
So I use Slack in addition to…
7. Google Workspace
I’ve ditched Zoom (more on this later) for Google Workspace, which gives me access to a
- work email
- recording GMeet meetings
- transcribing meetings too and making smart notes with Gemini
- lots of cloud storage
It’s made life so easy, and I can’t believe I didn’t do this earlier.
8. Pro Writing Aid
I bought the lifetime subscription in Q4 of 2021 and haven’t looked back. I don’t use the comprehensive editor where you open the website, paste your draft, and PWA does its magic.
I’m too lazy for this and instead, just use the Google Chrome extension.
I find it cheaper and better than Grammarly.
Tools I don’t use anymore
I’ve written an article on the tools I use at least once a year, so here are some tools you’ve seen me mention before that I don’t use anymore.
1/ Topmate
I’m actually appalled that they have an illegal loophole that the founder isn’t fixing, and I’ve been telling them for months. If you’re in India and have a GST- registered biz, by law, you are not liable to pay GST on foreign transactions. But Topmate doesn’t provide you with a Foreign Inward Remittance Certificate (FIRC), so you’ll be paying GST even on foreign transactions.
I have paid plenty of it :(
Most of you may not be from India or don’t have GST, but I wouldn’t recommend dealing with a company that has this malpractice and refuses to fix it.
2/ Zoom
I had a long back-and-forth where I was unable to renew my Pro membership. Which was a blessing in disguise because Google Meet stores everything in the cloud and makes life easier.
3/ Kajabi
Pay $2500 a year to the platform and $1000 to someone to build it? Been there, regretted it. I don’t like the lack of control I had because Kajabi is so complicated.
So Gumroad for the win!
4/ Taplio
I used it for a year and don’t need to anymore because AuthenticIN is so much easier and better (and more affordable too!).
