Going to keep today's issue short and sweet :)

“I can’t wait to quit my 9-5!!!”

“How can I start side hustling?”

“At what point do I monetise content?”

These are some of the most common themes of the questions I get in my DMs.

Here’s my super-crisp advice:

1. Side hustle by picking a skill, learning online, and doing it.
2. There’s literally no better way to get better at something than doing it.
3. Create a catalogue of work -> Apply for gigs on Upwork -> Repeat
4. Write on LinkedIn and Twitter on the side to build your brand.
5. Use Substack or Convertkit to build a mailing list (so you own your audience, not the platform).
6. Consider throwing a lead magnet to build an email list. Gumroad is free. (My FREE checklist has made $1382.48 in donations lol)
7. Now there are two paths - you quit by freelancing/ consulting, or you quit by making money off productising your services. It depends on what problem you can solve better.

That’s a birds-eye view of how it goes.

For some of you, this may sound new and overwhelming. I’d just say start, and you’ll figure it out with time. There’s plenty of information on YouTube and newsletters run by people who’re doing it right now.

Also, you won’t know it all in the beginning.

I quit to be a freelancer. I don’t freelance now.

Learning and growing while doing the skill will carve a path for you. Sitting and researching to take action when you ‘are ready’ doesn’t move the needle.

The quickest way to reach where you want to is to see someone who’s done it already. The answers to most of your questions are in their content.
