Hi friend,
I've spoken to 8 executives this week who say their #1 barrier for writing on LinkedIn is...
I feel you.
β
You may not know this if we haven't met in person, but every time someone tells me IRL that they have read my content on LinkedIn, I go like -
π«£π«£π«£π«£π«£
β
And even when they go on saying good things about it, I react like -
π₯΄π₯΄π₯΄π₯΄π₯΄π₯΄
β
Most people's fear isn't what 'colleagues' will say, it's
β
β’ fear of judgment in general
β’ "I have nothing special to say."
β’ "Why will someone see my work?"

Here's how you can overcome it, because without it, you'll always be stuck where you are and will be too anxious about taking big leaps.
This may make you feel better
When I started my writing journey, I read this somewhere:
People don't care about you as much as you think they do. They're too busy thinking about themselves.
Just like you're thinking about yourself right now.
And even if they do, chances are... its for a few seconds.
Think of the time you were seeing a reel and judged that person. Are you still thinking of them? Nope - they aren't so important to you and you've seen hundreds of pieces of content since then.
Which brings me to...
The internet moves [on] quickly.
In 2024, I went so viral on the internet that I was featured in the digital publications of all major newspapers in the country and people sent me really mean messages on X.
You know what I did?
Deleted my apps and enjoyed my holiday.
By the time I hopped back, the world had moved on.
That's the good thing about the internet - people are always scrolling and they forget you.
Even if you're viral, it doesn't last long.
Whatever moves up so quick comes down just as quick :))
The biggest barrier between your reality and your dreams
One of the reasons I've been able to build a life where I work less and earn alright is because I act... quick.
If I have an idea, I act on it.
Most people sit on their ideas forever, don't share it, and think 'someday' they'll make it big. That someday never comes.
With my method of acting quickly, I fail a lot, but I learn from it and show up again.
And again.
And again, till something works out.
The space between your ears is where self-doubt creeps in. Don't let it, act on your ideas instead.
The good stuff is on the other side
of
- judgment
- being scared of others' reactions
- thinking too much on how you can please others
Once you overcome this, you live better.
These thoughts crowd in your head more than they shuld.
And as we discussed earlier... people aren't really thinking that much about you!
Here's what you lose out on
If you don't overcome this fear, you'll feel how you feel right now and do what you do.
We all feel silly doing something for the first time, especially when its in front of others. We fall a few times, and then we get better.
It's natural progression.
Suddenly, it's not silly anymore.
Nothing good comes from being worried about others' opinions and staying in your comfort zone.
So tell me - is it worth it to not create your best life?
Because you're assuming what others will say?
I don't think so :))
All the best!
Love,
N
