Hi friend,

The first time I worked for myself instead of others was in January 2022.

Before this, I was a freelance writer.

Side hustling with freelance writing since late 2020.

And then full-time since July 2021.

But in January 2022, I made $2925 by selling a ticket to teach something for the first time, ever.

And this is when I realised I was sitting on a skill I thought was

  • useless
  • "not good enough"
  • something others won't pay for

Except that it made over $50,000.

If you've read it this far, you're likely one of these two:

  1. You have an idea, but are too afraid to act
  2. You don't have an idea, but are looking around for one

If you're in the first one, I'll say that

Nobody is coming to save you, and you have one shot at life.

So you might as well try because the worst outcome is failing... which is okay :)

Hit reply and let me know if you resonate with the below asumptions:

"I need a fresh idea."
"What I want to write about has been spoken of already."
"I don't know where to start and how."

What if I tell you that...

Your idea is already there.

Inside you.

You just haven't found it yet.

(Ugh, the previous sentence sounds like Chat GPT wrote it. I so don't like what it's done to us lol)

You see, I made that money from Summit 21.

A course on consistent writing.

Something I thought nobody would pay for, but in the last cohort, people paid $599/pp for it.

So what felt 'basic' to me was a goal for someone else.

The catch is...

This idea came to me because I hit the gym!

I wake up every morning and work out.

Even as a new mom with a 4.5-month-old, I've been working out since I got cleared to exercise.

So I realised that a strength one has outside of work can actually help at work.

People are too busy to see that, which is why they look for that one fresh idea to start working on.

Ask yourself -

  1. What is something you're good at?
  2. What do you enjoy doing?
  3. What do others usually come to you for?
  4. What are you slightly better at than others?

You don't need to be an expert.

Because helping someone from step 3 to 4 is still growth :)

I hope this helps you find what's there waiting to be tapped and unleash your potential!

Love,
N
