Hi friend,
If someone googled your name today, what would they find?
Most people are brilliant at what they do, but invisible online.
And, I know putting yourself out there is intimidating. But...
Going online = Going global
Especially from a public account that anyone can access, perceive, and… judge. So, invisibility feels safe.
But it comes with a cost, my friend.
I took the leap 5 years ago and started building my personal brand online.
What I’ve learned is that you shift from a follower mindset to an owner mindset. Instead of watching others from the sidelines, you take ownership of:
- Your reputation
- Your career direction
- The speed of your growth
- Your outcomes
So if you’re still sleeping on building your personal brand, here’s what you’re missing out on:
1 / Visibility
When a recruiter, potential client, or collaborator looks you up… Who stands out more:
- Someone showcasing their expertise?
- Someone with an empty profile?
Exactly.
Think about this: How many people have you decided to trust, learn from, or buy from, purely because of their content?
Your personal brand is your silent pitch deck.
You don’t have to convince people, your content does that for you.
2 / More Money
If a company pays you a cheque for your skill and experience?
You can definitely make an online income from it by:
- Consulting
- Freelancing
- Info-products
This is proof that your customer already exists.
Most creators start by simply sharing what they know for free. The people who resonate eventually become their fans, students, or clients.
That’s how I built my one-person business, too.
I know you're thinking you're not 'expert enough'. But you don't have to be an expert, you just have to know something a liiiiiitle better than others.
3 / Opportunities You Can’t Predict
Becoming a creator opens doors you can’t plan for:
- Brand collabs
- Podcasts
- Partnerships
- Additional sources of income
- Even a totally new career path
When I started writing online, I couldn’t have predicted half of the opportunities that came my way.
Or the speed at which it all compounds.
Last year, I took a month off and went to America for the summer.
Brand collabs paid me $5000 that month! I took under 2 hours to draft those posts, get approval, etc.
Fun shopping money - no regrets, hehe.
Fact is: The creator economy is only going to grow.
It’s on you to serve yourself a slice of that market.
But here’s the thing:
None of this can happen unless you take ownership and start building your personal brand.
Finally…
I gain nothing out of convincing you to post online.
But I’ve seen firsthand what happens when you do: you build proof of work.
On your terms.
And that’s more powerful than any degree or resume.
So, stop telling yourself,
- I don’t have anything new to say
- My coworkers will judge me
- I’ll start later
I know you’re planning your goals for 2026 as we speak.
Add this one: Make your name Google-worthy.
- Start with one post
- Share one thought
- One story from your journey
- One pro tip
Because when you start putting yourself out there, opportunities start finding you.
I’m rooting for you!
Love,
N
