Also, back then, I didn't have a website, funnel, or fancy branding
Just a LinkedIn profile and the courage to share something helpful.
And to finallllyyyy start talking about what I sell.
Why LinkedIn is the easiest place to start a side hustle
- The audience is already in a business mindset. They open LinkedIn for... work, duh.
- You don’t need to build an audience from scratch... they’re already here.
- Organic reach is still generous compared to other platforms (ahem - reels).
- All you need is your profile and a post.
- Tbh in my experience, it's the easiest place to grow on. It took me MUCH longer to grow on Medium and X!
Your LinkedIn action plan for THIS weekend
No overthinking. No “I’ll do it when I’m ready.”
I can tell you from my experience of talking to others that you will never be ready enough. People waste years trying to find the 'right time to start'.
The best time is now! So,
- Write down 3 problems you can solve for someone.
- Pick one and write a short LinkedIn post giving away a free, useful tip.
- End with: “If this resonates, send me a DM.”
- Bonus: Before you post, engage with 10 posts from your target audience.
- Pro tip: Join Authentic Influence, where I can teach you how to build your brand!
Do this today and watch what happens over the next week.
A little proof for you
One of my students is speaking at one of the biggest tech companies this month where she's a new joinee, all because of showing up on LinkedIn!
Finally...
If you’ve been waiting to try LinkedIn, this is your sign. Write one post this weekend - it might just open a door you didn’t even know was there.
And if you want to learn how to turn those posts into consistent clients, the next Authentic Influence cohort starts August 20.
See you next week!
Love,
N
